June: A Month of movement & Anticipation
June 2026
Gemini Season | Through the 20th
We start June off in the midst of connective Gemini Season and on the heels of the expansive Sagittarius Full Moon. Life's anxious need for variety in movement, connection, and possibility is stabilizing as we anchor into a vision that has been held and has expanded us in targeted ways. What experiences have you settled into that you feel in your bones, and that have solidified a knowing of the kind of expansion you can push yourself into? Use this as a secure ground to believe in the connections and pathways you are starting to open. Trust that your body can hold and has an instinct for what pathways are meaningful because it knows how to expand into them.
At the same time, there is something tender around constructs underfoot and the way language is used or how culture is developing through the use and abuse of symbols and beliefs. Where do we need to be more conscious of what we consume that feeds the current civilization we live in? This full moon is one that has us looking to Jupiter in Cancer, a signature of wanting philosophies more maternal and civilizations more caring and intuitive. What new dream is seeding in your bones, your inner knowing, in the life you want to experience? Use the awareness that's finding its footing around how language and framing construct worlds, and what that is telling you in your gut that you need to start deviating from for the world you want to live in, to course correct toward more caring and embodied perspectives.
The 14th brings this season's new moon and a time to make new intentions and plans around what possibilities, community, and pollination you want to newly color your life with. I'll be back with a new moon planning video on that Sunday to go into more detail about the chart for this year's Gemini New Moon.
We look to the ruler of the season, Mercury, for some insight into how this season will continue to pollinate and move. This year's Mercury archetype is on a Pisces-themed journey—a journey around poking at our illusions and shadows, testing meaning and art, and circling complexity and understanding. It’s a watery Mercury, swimming like a fish with its moving and shaking. Mercury moved into Cancer this morning (June 1st), where it will seed a new journey next month. In its recent move through Gemini, it found language for Pisces’s more mystical and ephemeral ideas, giving articulation to things barely in grasp. Now in Cancer, through June, it will transform our minds, ideas, possibilities, and range from mystical and intangible to something that feeds and nourishes us.
Find ground that can hold the mystical and magical in order to share what started as 'inspiration of mind,' and that is now solidifying as 'inspired food for thought.'
As a side note, Mercury moves into pre-retrograde shadow on June 12th. It's best to get contracts, travel plans, purchases of things with moving parts, and appointments scheduled before then through early August.
Cancer Season | June 21st
Moving into Cancer Season puts us in the tidal season where we live by the moon’s constant ebb & flow. Get in touch with your deeper needs, with what security and protection mean to you, with family, home, nourishment, and women.
I find this season to be one of daydreams and time to meander. There is something clarifying that happens when we feel and allow our tides to pull us into shore and out to sea, to flood us and recede, to rock to its rhythmic sound and force brings us into our deeper spaces where we can hear our soul and get in better alignment with what we want from the inside out. It gives us the power to mobilize life with more coherence and less obstruction. It does require some weeks of feeling all of our feelings through. Something many of us resist, needing constant movement in order to avoid what’s underneath.
Journaling, reading literature, and spending time with softer, more yin-like people will help you settle into the energy of the season. At the same time, the Earth will, oppositely, be in Capricorn this season. This configuration has a witnessing quality about it. The Earth is more of an experincer thatn thinker. Capricorn energy likes to take a step back to get a view, and through the body, there is a lot of stillness required to absorb the view and feel it in the body. The patterns that become instinctive and the knowings that arise come from this stillness—a form of body witnessing.
The month will end with the Capricorn Full Moon on the 29th, sandwiching the month’s entry and exit in more inward territory. With this full moon, we feel into the ground that’s become solid through what our bodies understand as patterns that contain the structure of life. This helps to soothe the insecurity (seeking deeper security) of our minds that are in emotional flux. And yet, something tender is taking place. The structures and plans we are drafting could feel that what the body has absorbed through witnessing is brittle. New blueprints in our minds are tipping long-held pattern-recognition out of its box. There is a sudden urgency for our witnessing capacity to witness from different views, heights, and locations to absorb patterns into the body in new ways.
Especially with the ruler of this moon, Saturn, in the fresh starts and new paths of Aries, there is some breaking around old patterns and structures and goals that are needed in order to freshen up authentic security in what you are building and how you are witnessing.
June Transits:
June 1 — Mercury to Cancer
Mind and movement move from hyper-social to deeper and more soul-aligned thinking.
June 3 — Mercury square Neptune
Mercury turns a corner since it met up with Neptune in Aries, where a shared intention was seeded around pioneering artistic ideas. This quarter turn takes this seed from incubation to a breakthrough into the world. Be ready for fresh and bold ideas around art, gases, and institutions to start pushing their way into the world.
June 9 — Venus conjunct Jupiter
This is one of the most beautiful aspects. The planet of love and the planet of luck and expansion come together for a purpose. In Cancer, this is femme power at its best. What is beautiful about the feminine perspective? What is attractive, delicious, and persuasive about pushing the boundaries of care and soul in culture and society? On a personal note, what beauty and worth would you like to expand?
Conjunctions are seeding points. Make intentions. What you place into a wish vessel now will be born with new life and an initial footing in a few months.
June 9 — Mercury Square Saturn
These two last seeded a shared intention in Aries. Now a quarter turn away from Saturn, Mercury moves ideas and information about pioneering building, structures, corporations, and constructs into the real world with bold color. What new ideas can we bring to life about the world we are building, and what constructs rule our societies? Move the ideas that resonate through your channels. Spread what feels alive.
June 13 — Venus moves to Leo
The planet of love, aesthetics, beauty, and sensuality moves into the sign of luxury, glam, and star power. Get your glow-up on. This is glam squad energy. At the same time, Venus is on an Aries-themed journey that is all about authenticity. Leo can help us find the courage to be our most authentic selves while still looking good doing it. During June, within her Aries journey, Venus is in a phase of coming into right relationship with herself. Venus is helping us to see ourselves in the mirror, deal with karma, and come into greater self-acceptance.
june 14 — Gemini New Moon
Make intentions around learning, connectivity, community, and possibility. What house does Gemini rule in your chart? How can you weave these themes into this part of your life with renewed focus?
June 17 — Venus opposed Pluto
A face-off between what we value and what holds power. How can you liberate yourself from unjust technological power by tapping into the value of what your warm and generous heart loves? Go outside, let the sun touch your skin, and ask: what does your heart love that is under the thumb of something cold and remote?
June 19 — Chiron in Taurus
Our wounded healer makes its first initial move to Taurus this month. It will retrograde out in September, return in April 2027 until July 2033, and then do another little dance out and back in from October 2033 to May 2034.
We start the dredging up and re-cleaning of wounds having to do with value, voice, worth, body autonomy, nature, economy, and children. I think it's apparent that we are very ready to re-clean some deep wounds in this very sensitive sign. The last time Chiron visited here was on and off between 1977 and 1984. It's clear to me that we are overdue for some deep work here.
Chiron, while it highlights wounds, is also a figure in mythology who was known for unique training. He taught heroes and princes. This centaur asteroid links the orbit of Saturn (the farthest planet we see with the naked eye, which rules our norms and constructs) with Uranus, the planet of progress, innovation, and rebellion. Because of this, it shows where a crack in the construct, perceived as a wound, is letting new light in. It is very shamanic in my view. It can help us reach into consciousness beyond our own, and in Taurus especially, there is a lot of earth chatter, nature sprite-like energy that we might reach with new awareness and construct-shattering healing.
June 21 — Cancer Season
Welcome, season of tides, emotion, imagination, depth, and women.
June 25 — Sun squares Neptune
Become aware of new dreams. Live your truest art with more acceptance.
June 28 — Mars in Gemini
Motivation and action move from slow, steady cultivation to curious, connective, possibility-driven energy.
June 29 — Mercury Rx
Let feedback bring your ideas, projects, plans, and connections into more empowered and wise conclusions. It's not a time to generate new ideas, but a great time to come into the wisdom of things that you've been in the weeds with for a few months.
June 29 — Capricorn Full Moon
Tap into the depth of your pattern knowings, what you are building, and your foresight.
June 29 — Jupiter in Leo
Our planet of expansion makes its yearly move to a new sign. From a year of expanding perspectives of matriarchy, feminine wisdom, and nourishing philosophies, to a year of expanding our hearts, seeking more generosity, and broadening perspectives on leadership.
There are many planetary journeys still seeded with Jupiter in Cancer that will unfold for the next year, but new objectives will start to weave in around seeking through the heart vs. the soul.
The shape of June
We start and end a month of reaching our longest day and summer solstice with inward, nourishment-seeking full moons. The middle of the month holds the new moon pressure point as well as Mercury stationing retrograde. Standout moments arrive on the 9th with the Venus conjunct Jupiter, and we end the month, despite the full moon, with two planets moving to fire and air signs (Mars and Jupiter), leading to July's insane configuration between all of our outer planets in the first few degrees of fire and air signs, all in communication, and wiring in some really alive, electric, explosive, new things. What we've felt building in the undertone all month will arrive with a bang in July.
Especially in the US, with Mars conjunct Uranus in Gemini on July 4th—something we hold in our own nation's chart—this literally sounds like our signature firework, gun, loud and arrogant US concoction. Although this configuration in our 1st house (with the chart I use) can be war-like and has aligned with wartimes, with the positive links between lots of heavy-hitting other planets, hopefully this time will be softened with other exciting things in play. On a personal note, it can bring a lot of excitement and revolutionary change into our lives.
Do you have angles or planets in the first few degrees of air or fire signs? If so, July will especially be one for the books for you.
