Taurus | Virgo Season 2025
The Universal Overlay
Virgo Season | August 22 - September 22
Summer quickens toward its end. What’s ripe on the vine must be harvested, processed, stored—capturing the bounty of the year’s sun-kissed quarter.
In our modern lives, what’s metaphorically bearing fruit needs our attention. Children reach new levels of maturity. As they start a new grade, we send them off equipped with backpacks, fresh supplies, and our own quiet anxieties—have we prepared them well enough? We follow our favorite football teams, hoping their preparation was enough to bring home a win. We build fantasy teams with thoughtful strategy, but will they hold up? Work ramps up. The evenings glow with patio-worthy light. Life is in full motion, like a late-summer garden overflowing with growth.
Virgo Season is abundant, but it’s also edged with urgency, timing, and critical decisions. It asks: Are you ready for what’s next? Am I skilled enough to take on this new project? Do I have time to host a lively dinner? Are the kids’ carpools, tutors, and activities covered? Is someone else—like the single mom down the street—in need of help with rides? Even my morning yoga class just changed time and intensity. Can I adapt?
This season stretches us, revealing our priorities, systems, and capacities. It shows where we're living with thoughtfulness and generosity—and where our life systems are too tangled, running us instead of the other way around. Sometimes, we see we didn’t plant well—our garden yields little while others overflow.
Virgo Season brings a reckoning: What can we actually handle? What sustains our bodies and lives? What does a well-balanced ecosystem feel like?
As a Virgo myself, I know this intimately. I often make life so intricate it becomes hard to manage. In my 40s, I’m learning that my wellbeing thrives when I have fewer things to care about, but more to give to what I truly love. That often means living slower. My nervous system goes from zero to sixty too fast when I juggle too much. I prefer a gentler rhythm—one that lets me master a few things and savor my mundane rituals with care and skill. These rituals anchor me. They soothe my easily stirred nerves.
We’re all different, though. If you really listen, this season can show you what kind of creature you are. My husband is a collie dog. After several surgeries, I’ve seen how frustrated he gets when he’s not busy—it’s a fight to get him to rest. Me? I’m a cheetah. I need lots of rest and space. But when I’m ready to run, I want everything cleared so I can sprint after a singular goal. I’m still learning how to pattern a life that supports this rhythm. Virgo Season always tests me: Where did I plant responsibilities I no longer want? What processes take too much time with too little reward? What blind spots have I missed because I feel stuck or unproductive?
We change as we mature. Life around us changes too. That’s the gift of Virgo’s mutability. It knows how to tie things up and transform. I may be a cheetah, but my environment, my “hunt,” and my routines evolve with the seasons. Virgo helps us adapt—refining our ecosystems, renewing our purpose through daily ritual and process. It speaks through our health and our harvests. We only need to listen and adjust with discernment.
Ruled by Mercury, Virgo’s version of the mind is different than Gemini’s. Where Gemini is a jester and messenger, Virgo is an alchemist and problem-solver. It’s not the head brain—it’s the gut brain. Virgo teaches technique, practice, rhythm, and skill. Its wisdom comes from lived experience, honed instincts, and the refining fire of critique. It heals through precision and patience, trial and error. That’s why it speaks best through analogies and lived stories.
This year, with the South Node moving through Virgo, eclipse season brings even more refinement. Virgo will host two new moons—one on the second day of the season, the other, on the penultimate day, a solar eclipse. The first brings necessary edits, endings, and critical choices. The second, transitional reckoning. The lunar eclipse in Pisces on Spetember 7th, will pull us inward, ending something softer, more emotional.
Be ready for life to reorganize itself in a whirlwind—cutting what no longer serves, clarifying your purpose, and refining your path with the clean, calm hand of an inner editor.
How the Season Activates You
Your Dimensional Growth
Sun In The 5th House | A Purified Heart
As the Sun moves through the signs and houses, it shines a light on a dimension of you. This helps you to become well-rounded and develop holistically.
Taurus, Virgo Season stirs the light in your fifth house—the radiant hearth of creativity, romance, self-expression, and the untamed joy of being you. After Cancer’s deep heart-tending and Leo’s surge of emotional command, Virgo invites you to return to the craft of joy. This season is about shaping the raw gold of your inspiration into something intentional—something that lives beyond the moment.
The first New Moon on August 23rd is seeded near the South Node, casting a soft glow over past creative cycles, past loves, past expressions of your heart that once felt alive but may now weigh heavy. You’re invited to sort through your creative palette and release the colors that no longer inspire. It’s a moon for letting go of performative joy—the kind you show for approval—and reclaiming the kind that bubbles up simply because your spirit needs to dance.
There’s refinement here. A calling to return to the true pleasure of process. Not just what you make or who you love, but how you shape beauty and meaning in the quiet hours. This is about ritual, not performance. About finding sacredness in sketchbooks, candlelit playlists, half-scribbled poems, messy kitchens full of flavor and laughter.
On September 21st, the Virgo solar eclipse ushers in a threshold. A transition. A new cycle of heart-led creation that may not begin with clarity, but begins with feeling. Your joy may shift shape. You may be called to parent something new into being—a project, a love, a version of yourself who’s unafraid to shine, even when the future isn’t yet drawn.
Let this be a season where you honor the delicate craftsmanship of your heart. Where you tend to your pleasures like a garden. Where the act of expressing yourself becomes not just an indulgence—but a necessity. There’s power in the way you play, Taurus. Power in the way you love. Power in your willingness to show up fully, with care, for the things that bring you to life.
Your animating guide of The Season
Mercury in the 4th & 5th Houses | The Devoted Creative
Mercury is the ruling body of the season, the archetype of our alchemist and problem-solver. This aspect of ourselves will activate to respond to Virgo Season’s tone and circumstances, guide our actions, and give us a stance, or mythic script, in how we evolve, develop, engage life, and express.
Mercury, as Virgo Season’s guide, begins its journey in your 4th house (Leo) and enters Virgo on September 2nd, where it brings clarity and rhythm to your inner artist, your playful self, and your soulful longing to shine your light in a meaningful way.
“The Geometry of Joy”
This Virgo Season, Mercury leads you out of the quiet hearth of the 4th house—where it lingers in Leo, gathering warmth from your roots, remembering what makes you feel safe, proud, and held. Then, on September 2nd, it moves into Virgo and lights a fire in your 5th house, asking:
What would it look like to express joy with intention?
Mercury here is not whimsical—it’s devotional.
It speaks in sketches, songs, stories, love notes.
It wants to turn your creativity into a practice—not to tame it, but to give it legs to walk into the world.
This is a time to:
Refine your voice—not to shrink it, but to let it resonate.
Cultivate joy as something you build, not just feel.
Find a rhythm to your art, your play, your romantic life.
Let pleasure become part of your purpose.
Let delight be disciplined, in the best way.
Mercury’s archetype here is the creative scribe—one who edits with care but never dulls the spark. It asks you to:
Make time for what lights you up.
Sharpen your tools—pen, brush, camera, heart.
Remember that sharing your joy is an offering, not a luxury.
This is not about being loud.
It’s about being true—to the colors that live inside you.
Virgo Season asks: What does radiant expression look like when it’s tended like a garden?
Mercury replies: Precise. Playful. Rooted in love.
Your Ground and Materialization of the Season
Earth in 11th House | Enriched future
In tandem with dimensional growth in our solar season, Earth’s placement, directly opposite the Sun’s reach and exerting energy, shows the dimension of us that has become the fertile ground maturing underfoot. It’s normal to feel like our efforts in a solar season aren’t paying off, but they will, in time, when that sign becomes the Earth’s sign, the ground holding us, embodied and tangible. Look to the Earth sign to tend to what is maturing and growing in your roots and soul, that needs you to be receptive and caring.
With Earth in Pisces this season, something cosmic is maturing. Our ethereal dreams are underfoot, like walking on the ocean or a floor of mist. Dreams are starting to deepen and need our care, our soulful intuition. Compassion needs our depths to align with inspiration and surrender. We process and stabilize the magic of the heart.
The craft of your joy is under reconstruction with the Sun in Virgo—
Love, art, laughter honed like a chisel to marble.
But Earth hums from the wider circle—the eye of your future-self reaching back.
Lean into the hands that hold your vision, not the plan.
This Lunar Eclipse, on September 7th—watch how a wish ripens into release.
Personal & Continuous aims
Your Radiant becoming
PHASE OF TAURUS’ YEARLY SEEDS | Clearing & Beautifying
Separate from the Sun shining a light on our different dimensions through the signs and houses, we have another solar journey—a spiral journey of Conscious Evolution and Radiant Becoming—the path of illumination. I track this journey from your sign’s new moon to its next new moon, with a formula that’s a bit my own.
Taurus, your seeds of becoming this year have an essence of returning to your core passion for material life, clarifying your voice, and rebooting where your self-worth stems from.
As we step into Virgo Season, your yearly seeds of becoming have recently broken ground, emerging from the liminal incubation stage into a phase of taking action, clearing away the debris of a winter phase, and reconnecting with impulse. What truly lights you up and gives you energy? Pay attention to what sparks motivation and allows you to make decisions that might be contrary to your recent energy. Make a left turn on instinct. Don’t be fragile or discouraged by falls along the way. Right now, it’s more about connecting with passion than succeeding. Be a beginner. Find a little luck along the way. Magic follows your energetic yeses!
Around August 30th, your yearly seeds move further into their spring phase. Like tending a garden, it’s a time to create the right conditions. What soil, light, water, fertilizer, neighboring energies, and challenges are needed for you to thrive? On a more concrete level, it’s a time of becoming more embodied, attending to beauty, and shaping your physical world. Values may stir sharper black-and-white sensitivities—and that’s okay. Sometimes it’s the hard polarities in life that help us recognize how different sides can still offer vital support.
Your Archetypal Journey
Venus in 2nd & 3rd Houses | the Light of a New World
The planet that rules your sign gives you an archetype—a leading character flavor. This planet is a central part of how you show up and your personal agenda. We go on journeys in the skin of our archetypes, like leading characters in books and films. Your ruler, Venus, is the Heroine, the Earthy Lover, the Empress, and the Sensitive Appreciator
Venus: The Heroine/Your Ruler | Stage: Leaving the Waters | Sign: Leo | House: 4th | Aries 12th House-Themed Journey
“Illuminating Your Enchanted Depths”
When Venus began her journey in Aries back in March, something ancient stirred in the deep waters of your 12th house—a seed of desire that formed in dreams, in silence, in the liminal space between longing and becoming. There, in the dark, the heroine began to remember herself. To gather her power. To awaken the truth she could no longer deny.
Now, in Virgo Season, the story turns. Venus steps into the “Leaving the Waters” phase—not as a return to comfort, but as a bold departure from the inner world. She leaves behind the enchanted, intuitive, and symbolic realm of her feminine origins to enter the ordinary world of structure, challenge, and form. Like Ariel giving up her voice for legs, or Giselle stumbling into a city of disbelief, the heroine arrives wide-eyed and full-hearted—vulnerable, radiant, and utterly transformed.
The majority of this season’s story unfolds in your 4th house of Leo—your sanctuary, your emotional core, your origin story. It is here that the heroine brings the first piece of magic from her inner world into the light of day. But it doesn’t look like a castle or a crown. It looks like:
– A need to redefine what home feels like.
– A call to reclaim a buried truth from your past.
– A chance to create warmth where once there was survival.
This is where your emotional self meets the fire of visibility. Leo says: Your inner world is worthy of expression. Your feelings are not private burdens—they are creative blueprints. Venus in Leo calls you to build beauty from your roots, and to carry your most tender wisdom into a world that often forgets how to feel.
The journey is not seamless. You may stumble. You may grieve the ocean even as you stand on solid ground. But this moment is holy. It marks the beginning of your embodiment—when your softness begins to take shape. When your values, your longings, your ancestral wisdom begin to influence how you live, love, and create.
You are not here to assimilate.
You are here to enchant the ordinary world with your truth.
This is the heroine’s first step across the veil—
And you, Taurus, are carrying the heart of the story forward.
