Aries | Virgo Season 2025

The Universal Overlay

Virgo Season | August 22 - September 22

Summer quickens toward its end. What’s ripe on the vine must be harvested, processed, stored—capturing the bounty of the year’s sun-kissed quarter.

In our modern lives, what’s metaphorically bearing fruit needs our attention. Children reach new levels of maturity. As they start a new grade, we send them off equipped with backpacks, fresh supplies, and our own quiet anxieties—have we prepared them well enough? We follow our favorite football teams, hoping their preparation was enough to bring home a win. We build fantasy teams with thoughtful strategy, but will they hold up? Work ramps up. The evenings glow with patio-worthy light. Life is in full motion, like a late-summer garden overflowing with growth.

Virgo Season is abundant, but it’s also edged with urgency, timing, and critical decisions. It asks: Are you ready for what’s next? Am I skilled enough to take on this new project? Do I have time to host a lively dinner? Are the kids’ carpools, tutors, and activities covered? Is someone else—like the single mom down the street—in need of help with rides? Even my morning yoga class just changed time and intensity. Can I adapt?

This season stretches us, revealing our priorities, systems, and capacities. It shows where we're living with thoughtfulness and generosity—and where our life systems are too tangled, running us instead of the other way around. Sometimes, we see we didn’t plant well—our garden yields little while others overflow.

Virgo Season brings a reckoning: What can we actually handle? What sustains our bodies and lives? What does a well-balanced ecosystem feel like?

As a Virgo myself, I know this intimately. I often make life so intricate it becomes hard to manage. In my 40s, I’m learning that my wellbeing thrives when I have fewer things to care about, but more to give to what I truly love. That often means living slower. My nervous system goes from zero to sixty too fast when I juggle too much. I prefer a gentler rhythm—one that lets me master a few things and savor my mundane rituals with care and skill. These rituals anchor me. They soothe my easily stirred nerves.

We’re all different, though. If you really listen, this season can show you what kind of creature you are. My husband is a collie dog. After several surgeries, I’ve seen how frustrated he gets when he’s not busy—it’s a fight to get him to rest. Me? I’m a cheetah. I need lots of rest and space. But when I’m ready to run, I want everything cleared so I can sprint after a singular goal. I’m still learning how to pattern a life that supports this rhythm. Virgo Season always tests me: Where did I plant responsibilities I no longer want? What processes take too much time with too little reward? What blind spots have I missed because I feel stuck or unproductive?

We change as we mature. Life around us changes too. That’s the gift of Virgo’s mutability. It knows how to tie things up and transform. I may be a cheetah, but my environment, my “hunt,” and my routines evolve with the seasons. Virgo helps us adapt—refining our ecosystems, renewing our purpose through daily ritual and process. It speaks through our health and our harvests. We only need to listen and adjust with discernment.

Ruled by Mercury, Virgo’s version of the mind is different than Gemini’s. Where Gemini is a jester and messenger, Virgo is an alchemist and problem-solver. It’s not the head brain—it’s the gut brain. Virgo teaches technique, practice, rhythm, and skill. Its wisdom comes from lived experience, honed instincts, and the refining fire of critique. It heals through precision and patience, trial and error. That’s why it speaks best through analogies and lived stories.

This year, with the South Node moving through Virgo, eclipse season brings even more refinement. Virgo will host two new moons—one on the second day of the season, the other, on the penultimate day, a solar eclipse. The first brings necessary edits, endings, and critical choices. The second, transitional reckoning. The lunar eclipse in Pisces on Spetember 7th, will pull us inward, ending something softer, more emotional.

Be ready for life to reorganize itself in a whirlwind—cutting what no longer serves, clarifying your purpose, and refining your path with the clean, calm hand of an inner editor.

How the Season is Activates You

Your Dimensional Growth

SUN IN The 6th HOUSE | Reverent Productivity

As the Sun moves through the signs and houses, it shines a light on a dimension of you. This helps you to become well-rounded and develop holistically.

Aries, Virgo Season turns the spotlight onto the quiet, sacred details of your days—the little things that make a life. After Leo’s golden blaze lit up your passion and play, now the Sun steps softly into your sixth house, asking not for performance, but for presence. This is a season of devotion to the everyday art of becoming.

The first New Moon arrives on August 23rd, tightly aligned with the South Node. It hums with the energy of refinement—less about new beginnings and more about making space. This moon wants you to tend to the overgrowth, to trim back the excess, to compost old habits and patterns of productivity that once served but now steal your light. Where has busyness replaced intentionality? Where has the grind dulled your flame?

This isn’t about perfection—it’s about purification. You’re invited to meet yourself in the mirror of routine, ritual, and work. What do you really want your labor to be in service of? What would it feel like to serve something sacred through even the most mundane task?

Let this be a season where you honor your body as an instrument—not just of motion, but of meaning. Restore rhythms that feel like poetry. Realign with the kinds of service that nourish your soul, not just your sense of duty. This is solar light cast not on the stage, but into the garden—the compost, the roots, the humble hours before the bloom.

The second New Moon, a solar eclipse on September 21st, brings transition. It marks an energetic threshold—an ending and a beginning braided into one. Something you’ve outgrown will ask to be released. Something quieter, truer, and more sustainable will take root. The eclipse won’t ask for immediate clarity. It asks for surrender. For trust. For care in the tending of what remains.

Let this season be a turning toward integration. Your inner fire learns to walk barefoot now, to sweat with intention, to serve with sincerity. You are building a life that supports your light—not just in bursts, but in beautiful, enduring pulses.

Your animating guide of The Season

Mercury in the 5th & 6th Houses | The Devoted Expert

Mercury is the ruling body of the season, the archetype of our alchemist and problem-solver. This aspect of ourselves will activate to respond to Virgo Season’s tone and circumstances, guide our actions, and give us a stance, or mythic script, in how we evolve, develop, engage life, and express.

Mercury, weaving from your 5th house of Leo into the 6th house of Virgo, becomes the thread that stitches together joyful self-expression with embodied purpose.

“The Sacred Shape of Devotion”

This Virgo Season, Mercury guides you like a quiet coach with quicksilver insight—moving first through Leo’s bright 5th house, where your voice, art, and passions demanded attention. But by September 2nd, it slips into Virgo’s terrain—your 6th house—and suddenly your spark asks for structure.

Mercury here is not just organizing your schedule.
It’s helping you refine your why.

You’re being asked to:

  • Translate inspiration into practice.

  • Turn energy into ritual.

  • Let your work become an echo of what you love.

What began as play in Leo now becomes purpose in Virgo.

This Mercury isn’t interested in perfection for its own sake. It’s interested in wholeness—how your body, your time, your work, and your mind can move in elegant rhythm. Think of it as a devotional editor, stripping away the noise so only what matters remains.

This season, you’re invited to:

  • Tend to your health as a sacred partnership, not a chore.

  • Reevaluate how your daily efforts support (or scatter) your energy.

  • Let clarity come not through control—but through careful attention.

The archetype of Mercury here is a healer, a sacred technician, a translator between your brilliance and your daily life.

Let it teach you how to:

  • Speak kindly to your body.

  • Sharpen your systems without losing your softness.

  • Make each task a vessel for alignment.

Virgo Season asks: What does devotion look like in motion?
Mercury replies: Precise. Thoughtful. True to what you value most.

Your Ground and Materialization of the Season

Earth in the 12th house | Surrendered depths

In tandem with dimensional growth in our solar season, Earth’s placement, directly opposite the Sun’s reach and exerting energy, shows the dimension of us that has become the fertile ground maturing underfoot. It’s normal to feel like our efforts in a solar season aren’t paying off, but they will, in time, when that sign becomes the Earth’s sign, the ground holding us, embodied and tangible. Look to the Earth sign to tend to what is maturing and growing in your roots and soul, that needs you to be receptive and caring.

With Earth in Pisces this season, something cosmic is maturing. Our ethereal dreams are underfoot, like walking on the ocean or a floor of mist. Dreams are starting to deepen and need our care, our soulful intuition. Compassion needs our depths to align with inspiration and surrender. We process and stabilize the magic of the heart.

Your hands are busy shaping the clay of daily life in Virgo Season, precise and purposeful—
Yet Earth lies behind your eyes, where dreams speak in smoke and silence.
You are tethered now not by effort, but by stillness.
The September 7th Lunar Eclipse opens a secret door—step through, barefoot, unhurried.
There is no task more sacred than your surrender.

Personal & Continuous aims

Your Radiant becoming

phase of Aries’ yearly Seeds | Shaping & Pollinating

Separate from the Sun shining a light on our different dimensions through the signs and houses, we have another solar journey—a spiral journey of Conscious Evolution and Radiant Becoming—the path of illumination. I track this journey from your sign’s new moon to its next new moon, with a formula that’s a bit my own.

Aries, your new moon seeds this year have a quality of rebooting life to feel clearer and more passionate. This means taking a wrecking ball to what no longer lights you up, making space to create a new order that’s more alive with breath and light.

At the start of Virgo Season, your yearly seeds of becoming are in a spring phase. Like planting a garden, it’s a time to create the right conditions. What soil, light, water, fertilizer, neighboring energies, and challenges are needed to thrive? On a more concrete level, it can be a time of feeling more embodied, attending to beauty, and shaping your physical world. Values may bring sharper black-and-white sensitivities—and that’s okay. Sometimes it’s the tough polarities in life that help us recognize how different sides can still offer essential support.

Around September 1st, a new phase begins to unfurl. You may crave movement, experimentation, connection, and information. This is a time to create possibilities. Allow yourself—and your yearly goals—to be a bit fickle and unsettled right now. It’s like back-to-school shopping as a kid, trying on a thousand things at ten different stores. Don’t fully commit yet. Put things on hold. By the end of the next 30 days, the things that truly resonate will stay with you.

There can be spinning energy at this time, along with inner tensions around what ‘fits’ and where you ‘fit.’ Some identity and belonging tensions are trying to harmonize within you as you bounce off your local world, peers, and lots of information.

Your Archetypal Journey

Mars in The 6th & 7th Houses | Walking the Tightrope of Fairness

The planet that rules your sign gives you an archetype—a leading character flavor. This planet is a central part of how you show up and your personal agenda. We go on journeys in the skin of our archetypes, like leading characters in books and films. Your ruler, Mars, is the Solar Hero, the Warrior, the Protector, and the Emperor.

Mars: The Hero/Your Ruler | Stage: The Road of Trials | Sign: Libra | House: 7th | Cancer-Themed Quest

“The Road of Trials Brings Relational Training”

Back in January, when Mars entered Cancer, the Hero's Journey began in a most vulnerable place: the inner sanctum, the emotional body, the ancestral tidepool. Instead of launching forward with weapons drawn, you were asked to feel first. To begin not with conquest, but with care. To step into the world not armored, but attuned.

Now, as Virgo Season arrives, the Hero has crossed the threshold. Mars has entered the Road of Trials—and in Libra, no less, the sign of reflection, balance, and the Other. This is not a battlefield of brute force, but a testing ground of relationship, strategy, and mirror-work.

The trials may not look like dragons. They may look like:
– A conflict that can’t be solved by domination.
– A partnership that reveals your own shadow.
– A choice between defending your ego or honoring fairness.
– A silence that feels louder than any war cry.

Mars in Libra is the warrior in the courtroom. The sword that becomes a scale. The part of you that wants to act—and the wisdom that says: Wait, listen first.

This stage of the Hero’s Journey doesn’t reward rashness. It trains you in restraint, diplomacy, and truth spoken with grace. It asks:

  • Can you fight for justice without becoming unjust?

  • Can you walk into opposition without losing your center?

  • Can you see the Other not as enemy, but as key to your evolution?

Virgo Season sharpens the edge. It wants you to be precise, intentional, humble. To make each trial a refinement—not just of your skill, but of your character. These are the sacred tests that polish the hero into someone worthy of the gifts ahead.

Mars in Libra whispers:
The next great act of courage isn’t force.
It’s balance.
It’s grace under fire.
It’s seeing yourself clearly in someone else’s eyes—and choosing love anyway.

You are not lost on this path.
You are being forged.
