A Week of Visionary Pressure & A New Season

December 15 - 21, 2025

Lunar-Solar Atmosphere | Visionary Pressure

We enter the final week of Sagittarius Season as well as of the Scorpio Lunar Journey. With new moons falling at the tail end of each season at the moment, our reflections are lagging. There has been digestion and reflection on the transformative and mysterious for nearly the whole season. On death and rebirth. We start the week with the moon returned to Scorpio, where the last new moon seeded. We return with embodied wisdom around something deeper we’ve been probing and remembering about life and ourselves.

As the moon moves to Sagittarius on Wednesday morning (9:38 am MT), we enter the new moon week and a few days of pressure and responsibility. Especially at the actual new moon on Friday the 19th (6:43 pm MT), step up to pressures as a new lunar seed activates under pressure and is made integral by following through with responsibilities. In Sagittarius, these pressures could be around vision, perspective, narrative, and belief. Life will ease up next week, and our lunar tone will be more jolly as we journey through memory, reflection, and digestion via Sagittarius themes of vision and perspective. Expect the holiday mood to shift with a bit more optimism. Expect to feel more about our guiding stars and remember symbols, such as the star pattern seen when cracking open a pomegranate. Expect your mood to seek and look up as opposed to the past 29-days of digging and uprooting memories around how you embody life.

Capricorn Season & Winter solstice | Sunday, December 21st (8:03 am MST)

Sunday brings us to a new season with Winter Solstice, the rebirth of the Sun (as in, the days begin to grow in length again), and the summit of the zodiac with Capricorn Season. This season gives us a view of reality with the gift of true sight—a view of the past, present, and future (ever heard of a little story called A Christmas Carol?). This is the season where we can see what we’ve built, where it’s gone right and wrong, where we’ve focused or scattered ourselves, what we aspire to be masterful at or build with a slow and steady long-view of life, and where our successes and responsibilities are integral, upholding life with interdependent flourishing, or misaligned with structural flaws due to corruption, greed, or lack of proper building. Some call this the southern gates of hell (the Sun being at its furthest southern point), where our misalignments are exposed.

2026’s solar chart, made for the moment of 0° Capricorn/Winter solstice, is special in that it sits not just at the summit of a new year, but also at the summit of one Sun-Moon-Earth 19-year journey and the next 19-year journey. Talk about an opportunity to make really foresightful long-term goals and blueprints. I have a new 2026 Solar Journey guidebook out that explores this chart in detail. I’ll be back on Wednesday or Thursday to formally announce it.

Capricorn Season horoscopes will be up on Friday morning! I’ll send an email announcement with links.

Journey With the Moon | Remember Who You Are

While moon phases help us tap into the ebb and flow of the solar season, the Moon—outside its ties to the Sun—has its own reflective cycle about recognition. To tap more deeply into memory, feeling, and intuition—how we anchor an embodied knowing of the zodiac into us—head over to the current Lunar Journey (The Memoirist's Journey). We will move from the Scorpio Lunar Journey to the Sagittarius Lunar Journey at the new moon on Friday evening. Review the Scorpio Journey, here :

Headline Transits

Sun square Saturn, Tuesday, December 16th (9:33 pm MT)

Is there something new you’ve been dreaming about building or being in the world? Something that would require a bit of a restart and training? Saturn rules our Initiate’s Journey, and this square is kicking us into the ordeal where we must choose to become who we aspire to become in real ways. Head over to The Initiate’s Journey to follow more closely what this means for you (at the end of the journey stages, there are sign-by-sign insights).

Sun square Neptune, Saturday, December 20th (6:01 pm MT)

The end of the week is a great time to clarify our dreams. What’s real and actionable around my nebulous fantasies? How can I harmonize fantasy and reality so that my artistic light can be exchanged in fair and beautiful ways?

Venus square Saturn, Saturday, December 20th (10:08 pm MT)

Venus and Saturn last met in late January, behind the north node in the shadows and in the sign of shadow work, Pisces. They’ve had a complicated relationship this year, and now, in the last quarter of their shared objective/journey, their shared seed is facing the mirror of consequences. Saturn is structure and authority. Venus is adoration and love, but also our autonomy and voice. In Pisces, there’s been an illusion as well as shadow work around how we idealize and give the authority of our voice away when overwhelmed by chaos. We could start to see this more clearly at the end of December—how floods of shadows have prevented us from seeing clearly where we still have a voice and authority to demand integrity and fairness.
