Headlines of Spring 2025 | RAW Mysticism
If you’ve already perused the Yearly Overview for 2025, you know it’s a ‘Year of Transitions’—every outer planet is moving signs bringing different energies into being. Three of these outer planet shifts arrive this spring with Neptune (the biggest shift), Saturn, and Jupiter.
Neptune and Saturn will move from the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces, into a reboot of touring the zodiac with the first sign, Aries. This is like our Dreamer and Architect archetypes moving from a cosmic world to a raw and rugged construction zone. From a spiritual sanctuary to the American Wild West.
Jupiter’s move to Cancer should feel good. Cancer is the sign of our Seeker’s exaltation. Our seeker archetype is shifting from Gemini, which loves to explore its backyard (and can feel restrictive to expansive Jupiter), to Cancer which loves to give stable and fertile grounds for our Seeker to stand on as it pushes our boundaries to broaden life.

NEPTUNE IN ARIES | Inspired Order
A mystical and artistic lens is about to hone in on what’s rough and tumble, raw, and assertive in life. Since 2011, Neptune has been in the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces, amplifying glamour, illusion, and fantasy as well as doing shadow work. However, this nebulous planet is rebirthing and starting a new 165-year tour of the zodiac as it steps into Aries, the first sign of the warrior’s terrain, on March 30th.
When a planet completes a tour of the zodiac, it has transcended something. Acknowledge understandings and complex comprehension that has settled in around the mystical aspects of life, around Neptune’s ability to connect us to the subtle realms. What have you become more sensitive to and aware of? How has your consciousness transcended an old boundary? How has the world’s compassion leveled up since 1861 (when Neptune started its last tour of the zodiac)? Just because Neptune is going back to the raw basics doesn’t mean starting over. While the zodiac seems like a circle, most astrologers see it more as a spiral. Neptune is entering a new level.
We might think of Wild West art as a past round of bringing art to the raw aspect of life. What does that Wild West look like now? I imagine strange flying objects and mystics being painted into the scene.
In a more modern sense, I can’t not talk about Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl performance. Neptune is the artist, the musician, the dreamer, and the fashion designer, while Aries loves uniformity. Aries can be militant as it wants to bring order into place. Kendrick’s dancers were in solid red, white, and blue uniforms (I heard someone say prison uniforms inspired them). Still, it was inspiring and interesting, not stiff like we’d see with Mars in Aries, which might make uniformity strict. The uniformity, or unity, that Aries desires isn’t negative until it gets repressive or abusive. Neptune wants to soften and bring inspiration to Aries’ order and unity. It wants to make uniformity into high art. It wants to bring idealism and dreams through order and unity. Neptune brings symbolism and layered meaning that expands us with shivers. I don’t mean creed-like symbolism such as a flag. Neptune is more subtle and nuanced. The red, white, and blue uniforms in Kendrick’s performance were subversive with subtle (and sometimes blatant) commentary about America, especially Black America, right in front of POTUS’s face. There were layers upon layers of nuanced art through the uniformity of his costuming/fashion.
We’ve graduated from illusions of a separated world. We’ve transcended nationalistic ideals. We’re too connected now and consciousness has seen through certain dimensions that we can’t stuff back in a box. The unhinged dreamer in me wants to believe that the inspired order and unity Neptune will bring is unifying as a planet to connect with other realms in an orderly yet inspired way. Or more simply, order that unifies a more global human consciousness.
Of course, old constructs grip tight to what was. Old tactics will be used such as attempting to inspire crusades against those who don’t have the same spiritual orientation. I can’t see it holding. Too many of us have transcended that nonsense. But, those who want to control the world will try, while those of us who are aligned and eager to start the new chapter (like moving from high school to college) will leapfrog over those stuck in the past. Those with attachment issues around consciousness and ideals will be left in the dust as new order and unity organize around a new level of consciousness.
Neptune will return to Pisces due to retrograde from October 22 - January 26, 2026, before moving full steam ahead in Aries until 2038.

SATURN IN ARIES | structure overhaul
We have another planet moving into Aries this spring, on May 24th, transcending an old curriculum and leveling up. Saturn’s rebirth won’t be as profound as Neptune’s. This planet has a 29.5-year cycle (versus 165-year) through the zodiac, but its 2-and-a-half-year transit is still a long time to progress through a lesson.
Saturn is an architect and CEO. It wants structure, focus, building, and authority. Saturn wants mastery and position in the world.
It brings discipline and dedication to its goals, is a planner, and can shoulder great responsibility. Aries brings our planets into rebirth energy, inspiring them to find new direction and passion and instilling new order after taking a wrecking ball to what’s already broken down. While going through Pisces since 2023, this executive archetype has been doing shadow work—a light shone on its secrets and delusions. I think we are all waking up to the web of illusions that corporations have spun.
For the next few years, we might see different ways of structuring corporations—time for an overhaul in the executive sector, yes? We could see new styles of architecture, new passion and direction in building, and maverick types shaking up corporate territory. On the flip side, we could see executive types become more militant or heavily guarded (a la Luigi types out to get them) and corporations try to become a version of an Emporer. I just don’t think Pluto in Aquarius (power to the people) will allow corporate overloads to take over. I think that’s the old model coming down as Saturn’s executive powers went massively unchecked since it started its last zodiacal tour in 1998, with Pluto supporting corporate power players in Capricorn for a lot of that time.
It’s time for a capitalistic exorcism, freeing ourselves of corporate possession of the people. Let’s welcome some Maverick energy into the corporate landscape and allow Pluto in Aquarius to dictate a need for power to belong to the people. Let’s welcome more utopian building and structuring.
Saturn will return to Pisces for a short stint from September 1, 2025 to February 13, 2026 (due to retrograde).
It will re-enter Aries from February 13, 2026 to April 2028.

JUPITER IN CANCER | Soulful self-narrative
I think of the term ‘survival of the fittest’ with this concoction, but in the way it was meant by Darwin, which I’ll circle back to in a minute.
Jupiter is a social planet. It is our explorer, professor, and culture vulture. Jupiter civilizes through sharing and exchanging ideas. It wants to push boundaries and perspectives, sometimes through debate and friction, but always through questioning.
For the past year, Jupiter has been exploring its backyard in Gemini, not its cup of tea, but sometimes what’s needed to progress. How many of you have been exploring community as a broadened concept and exposing yourself to perspectives around local ecosystems? How have you tapped into your communities as something that expands your life, or felt friction with your communities as you’ve pushed your perspectives around belonging and identity?
Jupiter can indicate some of the big cultural moments in society. While I don't believe it was only Jupiter in Gemini boosting his art in the past year, Kendrick Lamar’s Gemini Sun gained cultural significance from Jupiter. The timing was right for him to share culture-oriented music and messaging, from his Darke feud to his mega-culture phenomena hit Not Like Us, to the Super Bowl.
With some communicative philosophical friction under our belts, Jupiter’s move into Cancer has us feeling more stable and settled in our concepts of belonging—how we belong or who we are. With a move to Cancer on June 9th, we are moving from trying to fit in so we can survive, to the correct use of ‘survival of the fittest’—committing to the soils that feel good and right underfoot hence being the right fit (not changing ourselves to try and be the right fit), making surviving and thriving natural. Put another way, our self-concepts and self-narratives have been rewiring, but in Cancer, something is clicking in. This allows us to be in fertile conditions that help our self-narratives become more soulful, aligned, and healthy.
When our self-narratives are wonky, the future can be predicted as not turning out great. There are studies around this. When self-narratives are positive, when we see ourselves as humans who overcome, grow, and thrive, guess what? Our future reflects this. Feeling more right in our self-concepts and narratives as Jupiter shifts to Cancer, we will have green lights to reach and imagine and expand life in enriching ways.
Through next June, secure your self-concepts on grounds that feel good to you and see how this makes the trajectory of your life feel held and supported in new and thrilling ways. Grow on the grounds where you are the hero or heroine in your story, not the victim.
