With the Sun as your ruling planet, it is a little different to tap into what the Sun’s overarching synodic journey is. In my opinion, it’s in following the yearly solar story with the Sun in Capricorn as the summit/seed point, or the start of the new Sun-Earth synodic period. Below, I will connect you to the greater solar story unfolding by overlaying the Sun’s journey on the Hero’s Journey—the greater story you likely feel in your core.
Stage: Rescue From Without| Theme: Aries-Draconic Journey
At the summit of the current solar journey, when we hit the Winter Solstice, the western zodiac (Tropical Zodiac—a Sun-Earth-based zodiac) and the lunar zodiac (Draconic Zodiac—a Moon-Earth-based zodiac) were aligned. It was Capricorn Season in both the masculine/sun zodiac and the lunar/feminine zodiac. It kicked off a reset year in the 19-year cycle between zodiacs. In essence, it’s like we’ve been developing through an Aries-themed year: clearing debris for greater clarity, impulsiveness, self-centering, assertion (even aggression and violence), new order, and orienting to find new direction.
In the Scorpio Solar Season, we are near the end of the yearly solar journey, at a stage called Rescue from Without. In modern terms, this is a stage of realizing that no matter how accomplished or self-sufficient we are, we are part of a greater world, and in being vulnerable and allowing help, we are pulled out of the things about ourselves that we are too close to see. What needs witnessing, what vulnerability will connect you to the help you need, what becomes more powerful when the burden is shared? This can be like going to therapy and finally dealing with patterns that elude you or traumas that have you stuck. It can be like accepting investment in a business, or a loan to go to school. It can be confiding in a friend, something that needs to be released.
This year, it is likely that this has something to do with acknowledging where brute force, domination, or self-centeredness have us stuck (in the greater picture of the world). You, as The Leader, can help us to see—illuminate—the hidden threads under the surface of a new world that have us stuck in impatience, childishness, and brash behaviors. What are the patterns you see that we all need help with? What is the help? What, outside of ourselves, can help us return to ourselves?
You are the archetype that knows how to see (illuminate) what needs to be seen in the moment, and that has the capacity to unify and lead. So, step up and show us what we're all not seeing. On the flip side, to be the leader you are meant to be, what outside help might you need to seek or accept this season? What is stuck under your own surface, or what are you too close to, that needs outside help to pull you up and into the leadership power you possess? What does it have to do with either being self-focused and insensitive or not confident enough?
