Taurus | Gemini Season 2025
The Universal Overlay
Gemini Season | May 20 - June 20
The end of spring in the astrological calendar arrives with Gemini Season. It contains mutable energy to tie up loose ends. It taps into dynamism to find solutions and variety to generate possibility. It is an air sign, adding the energy of mind, tension, speed, and lightness. In short, it's a season to tie up the self-oriented agenda of spring, of figuring out what we want, why, and how to get it. Pollination occurs as we jet around to see what others are doing and bounce ideas off each other. We notice where we currently do and don't fit—we can feel a resonance through what we identify with or not and what seems to invite us in or not.
Move around and find resonant minds, peers, and communities. Find where you fit naturally. Let this help inform what currently feels authentic in you. Generate ideas with others. Bounce possibilities around, experiment, and try things without committing. Notice colors that express out of you—threads of light connecting you with others and harmonizing inner tensions. Stay flexible this season. Don't beat yourself up if you aren't the brightest mind in the room or feel people aren't interested in you. Be observant and recognize when your mind lights up the minds of others and vice versa. Seek resonant minds—those who think about similar things and in similar ways.
Where Gemini is in our chart indicates where we can get wrapped up in pointing fingers, entrenched in confirmation bias silos. This isn't necessarily done as a way to blame-shift. Instead, it stems from Gemini’s intelligence, which allows us to comprehend the intricate workings of the world. We observe the detailed effects of external factors on ourselves and our surroundings. The instinct can arise to cancel, name call, channel our inner mean girl, and judge (there's a bit of a teenage spirit this season). While it’s tempting to point fingers at potentially true or even necessary matters, it doesn't help us to mature. I’m not suggesting you completely avoid this behavior (I do it myself). However, be mindful of when you become bogged down in petty gossip or rely too much on external validation (hello The substance). Notice when you've become distracted around accountability for your personal growth and goals.
In summary, stay light and non-commital. Flirt with life, and try on different ways, people, and communities. Find your social resonance and a clearer sense of identity. Push your mind, learn new things, ask questions, and stay curious. Most of all, have fun. Find where and with whom you have a lighthearted good time and say yes to more of it. Be flexible, open-minded, and engage in kind self-speak as you iron out inner tensions.
How the Season Activates You
Your Dimensional Growth
Sun in the 2nd House | The Pleasure of Connection
As the Sun moves through the signs and houses, it shines a light on a dimension of you. This helps you to become well-rounded and develop holistically.
With the arrival of social Gemini Season, your 2nd house of sensuality, self-worth, and possessions gets lit up. Gemini loves to use its hands, being a weaver and expresser, and the 2nd house is where we use our 5 senses to help us mold life with our brand of beauty.
You might literally love to knit, or you might like to give shape to words, loving the sensation of writing or the feel of holding a tangible book filled with the mind’s thoughts. You might also value all that is lively and community-oriented, wanting to have slow, pleasurable connections, or connection through doing crafts or molding natural things.
Bring nature to gatherings this season or bring gatherings to nature. Do things with others that look something like slow-living—communal meals, fireside chats, friendly walks in meadows or by rivers. You can also bring value to the community, possibly through opening a shop in your neighborhood or hosting fundraisers for a local co-op or community garden. You might find insects a delight to watch out in nature—the nature of busy industry.
Last year’s Gemini New Moon planted fresh chapters in our wiring. You may have felt this past year as a time that unraveled worth that was no longer interesting to you, or that your valuing of community or bringing commerce to community was under construction. Notice what is starting to manifest as we return to Gemini Season, fresh trajectories around your voice in community.
This year’s Gemini New Moon (May 26th at 9:02 pm MT) once again holds rebirth energy. Over the next year, continue to sweep out the cobwebs around old connective worth and make space for fresh wings molded with beauty and slow, sensual fun.
The animating guide of The Season
MErcury in 1st, 2nd & 3rd House | Light Delights
Mercury is the ruling body of the season, the archetype of our messenger and trickster. This aspect of ourselves will activate to respond to Gemini Season’s tone and circumstances, guide our actions, and give us a stance, or mythic script, in how we evolve, develop, engage life, and express.
Our winged god, Mercury, rules Gemini Season and shows us more nuance as to how it wants to move the energy of the season.
As we buzz into Gemini’s terrain, Mercury is lagging a little behind in your Taurus 1st house, weaving threads of value into your own centered Self. Take some time in nature to get your mind centered and clear.
On May 25th, Mercury will fly into your 2nd house to join the Sun. Mercury is already in a busy frame of mind, but add it to its own sign of Gemini, and we get a hyper mind.
Gemini will turn on your turbo boosters to connect dots around how you are using mind, movement, or community to generate value in your life. Mingle and open new pathways and possibilities around value through connection and community.
On May 29th, Mercury will go behind the Sun (Cazimi), initiating a new phase. It’s time to mature certain pathways you’ve created. Get more focused and deepen the connections that feel worthwhile and soulful. On June 9th, Mercury will move on to your Cancer-ruled 3rd house. For the remainder of the season, weave valuabel depth into your sour soulful communities, nourishing connection, and sibling-like frineds. Share what you value about others, share you valuable ideas, and connect to your own voice and value through being around nourishing ideas and people.
Your Ground and Materialization of the Season
Earth in the 8th House | expansive mystery
In tandem with dimensional growth in our solar season, Earth’s placement, directly opposite the Sun’s reach and exerting energy, shows the dimension of us that has become the fertile ground maturing underfoot. It’s normal to feel like our efforts in a solar season aren’t paying off, but they will, in time, when that sign becomes the Earth’s sign, the ground holding us, embodied and tangible. Look to the Earth sign to tend to what is maturing and growing in your roots and soul, that needs you to be receptive and caring.
Countering the Sun’s reaching spirit, the Earth, in opposition, shows how we can feel soothed and grounded in a season.
In your Sagittarius 8th house, find comfort in wise entanglements, empowerment that comes from sharing your philosophies, or your expansive sense of mystery.
This isn’t about effort and results. It’s about what has fertile ground to help refill you when the busyness of thinking about and weaving connections and community that are valuable wears you down.
Especially around the June 11th Sagittarius Full Moon, turn to your inner world and your imagination. Daydream and journal to source insight from your subconscious around how your busy sensuality and expansive intimacy become the ground for one another’s reach at different points in the year.
Note how this relationship both stretches and balances the resources in your life.
Personal & Continuous aims
Your Radiant becoming
PHASE OF TAURUS’ YEARLY SEEDS | Pressure & Liberation
Separate from the Sun shining a light on our different dimensions through the signs and houses, we have another solar journey—a spiral journey of Conscious Evolution and Radiant Becoming—the path of illumination. I track this journey from your sign’s new moon to its next new moon, with a formula that’s a bit my own.
At the start of Gemini Season, you have only recently come from your yearly Taurus New Moon and your new seeds planted deep within for the year. You are holding the pressure of last year’s seeds manifesting with fresh form and function and new skins starting to appear while harboring further dreams of even more shedding of the old for more fresh skins to take shape. Step up to the plate around responsibilities coming in. Start to death from life so you can see past, present and future to make plans for the new goals settling in.
Around May 27th, a new phase will arrive. A phase of your new seeds is starting to feel new qualities of light that old constructs in you and your life can no longer contain. It’s a time to liberate, break free, and experiment to help evolve the originality and future of new sensual overhauls on their way.
Your Archetypal Journey
Venus in 12th & 1st Houses | Fluid Centering
The planet that rules your sign gives you an archetype—a leading character flavor. This planet is a central part of how you show up and your personal agenda. We go on journeys in the skin of our archetypes, like leading characters in books and films. Your ruler, Venus, is the Heroine, the Earthy Lover, the Empress, and the Sensitive Appreciator
While the solar season tugs on you in various ways over the course of a year, your ruling planet, Venus, can show a more consistent and personal agenda that is always running in the background.
As we start Gemini Season, Venus is back in Aries, craving new experiences and accepting that something isn’t working anymore around your way of being an artistic pioneer or spiritual maverick. You are confronting and breaking away from constructs hemming you in.
On June 6th, with a move to your own sign of Taurus, Venus is starting to let go of energetic baggage around your direction in life and how your sensual centering and value-oriented agenda might need to dissolve in order to reform your connection to more subtle realms.
Watch for inspiration to pop up, whether through a literal guide that comes into your life, something you read, or even a download from seemingly nowhere. Go into your core Self and let a sort of fluid passion help you let go of willfulness or stale agendas.
