Sagittarius | Virgo Season 2025

The Universal Overlay

Virgo Season | August 22 - September 22

Summer quickens toward its end. What’s ripe on the vine must be harvested, processed, stored—capturing the bounty of the year’s sun-kissed quarter.

In our modern lives, what’s metaphorically bearing fruit needs our attention. Children reach new levels of maturity. As they start a new grade, we send them off equipped with backpacks, fresh supplies, and our own quiet anxieties—have we prepared them well enough? We follow our favorite football teams, hoping their preparation was enough to bring home a win. We build fantasy teams with thoughtful strategy, but will they hold up? Work ramps up. The evenings glow with patio-worthy light. Life is in full motion, like a late-summer garden overflowing with growth.

Virgo Season is abundant, but it’s also edged with urgency, timing, and critical decisions. It asks: Are you ready for what’s next? Am I skilled enough to take on this new project? Do I have time to host a lively dinner? Are the kids’ carpools, tutors, and activities covered? Is someone else—like the single mom down the street—in need of help with rides? Even my morning yoga class just changed time and intensity. Can I adapt?

This season stretches us, revealing our priorities, systems, and capacities. It shows where we're living with thoughtfulness and generosity—and where our life systems are too tangled, running us instead of the other way around. Sometimes, we see we didn’t plant well—our garden yields little while others overflow.

Virgo Season brings a reckoning: What can we actually handle? What sustains our bodies and lives? What does a well-balanced ecosystem feel like?

As a Virgo myself, I know this intimately. I often make life so intricate it becomes hard to manage. In my 40s, I’m learning that my wellbeing thrives when I have fewer things to care about, but more to give to what I truly love. That often means living slower. My nervous system goes from zero to sixty too fast when I juggle too much. I prefer a gentler rhythm—one that lets me master a few things and savor my mundane rituals with care and skill. These rituals anchor me. They soothe my easily stirred nerves.

We’re all different, though. If you really listen, this season can show you what kind of creature you are. My husband is a collie dog. After several surgeries, I’ve seen how frustrated he gets when he’s not busy—it’s a fight to get him to rest. Me? I’m a cheetah. I need lots of rest and space. But when I’m ready to run, I want everything cleared so I can sprint after a singular goal. I’m still learning how to pattern a life that supports this rhythm. Virgo Season always tests me: Where did I plant responsibilities I no longer want? What processes take too much time with too little reward? What blind spots have I missed because I feel stuck or unproductive?

We change as we mature. Life around us changes too. That’s the gift of Virgo’s mutability. It knows how to tie things up and transform. I may be a cheetah, but my environment, my “hunt,” and my routines evolve with the seasons. Virgo helps us adapt—refining our ecosystems, renewing our purpose through daily ritual and process. It speaks through our health and our harvests. We only need to listen and adjust with discernment.

Ruled by Mercury, Virgo’s version of the mind is different than Gemini’s. Where Gemini is a jester and messenger, Virgo is an alchemist and problem-solver. It’s not the head brain—it’s the gut brain. Virgo teaches technique, practice, rhythm, and skill. Its wisdom comes from lived experience, honed instincts, and the refining fire of critique. It heals through precision and patience, trial and error. That’s why it speaks best through analogies and lived stories.

This year, with the South Node moving through Virgo, eclipse season brings even more refinement. Virgo will host two new moons—one on the second day of the season, the other, on the penultimate day, a solar eclipse. The first brings necessary edits, endings, and critical choices. The second, transitional reckoning. The lunar eclipse in Pisces on Spetember 7th, will pull us inward, ending something softer, more emotional.

Be ready for life to reorganize itself in a whirlwind—cutting what no longer serves, clarifying your purpose, and refining your path with the clean, calm hand of an inner editor.

How the Season Activates You

Your Dimensional Growth

Sun in the 10th House | A Refined Legacy

As the Sun moves through the signs and houses, it shines a light on a dimension of you. This helps you to become well-rounded and develop holistically.

Sagittarius, Virgo Season draws your wild spirit into focus—calling you to climb the mountain of your own becoming with greater discernment, care, and clarity. This is the moment in your solar year when the spotlight turns toward your path of purpose, and you’re asked not just what you dream of doing, but what you’re actually becoming known for.

The Sun’s presence here illuminates your ambitions and longings for impact, but it does so not through grand gestures, but through steady, intentional refinement. You are polishing the diamond of your vocation now—editing your mission statement, cutting away distractions, and devoting yourself to the work that matters. Virgo doesn't ask for perfect, but it does ask for meaningful alignment and daily devotion.

Our 10th house shows where we can feel limitations due to the focus it demands. You may feel that your daily rhythms, purpose, devotion to service, and critical eye can be strict and sometimes trap you in boxes. Instead of seeing your purpose in life as restricted, see it as focused and building something pure and great.

The Virgo New Moon on August 23rd, near the South Node, invites a shedding of old titles, outdated career expectations, or external pressures that no longer match your soul’s trajectory. If you've been chasing success that looks good but feels hollow, this lunation is your turning point. A quiet reassessment begins, helping you separate what’s truly yours from what’s been inherited or imposed.

Later in the season, the Virgo solar eclipse on September 21st brings a subtle but lasting shift to your public life. It’s a crack of light through the ceiling—making way for new possibilities of recognition, responsibility, and creative leadership. Let it be the start of something both visionary and grounded.

Let this season teach you how to serve your calling in a way that honors your body, your rhythm, and your evolving truth. You don’t have to sacrifice your freedom for purpose. You just have to tether your fire to something real—something worthy of the long road ahead.

This is your time to align your big dreams with boots-on-the-ground action. To build a legacy not just of success, but of substance.

The animating guide of The Season

Mercury in the 9th & 10th Houses | The Devoted Authority

Mercury is the ruling body of the season, the archetype of our alchemist and problem-solver. This aspect of ourselves will activate to respond to Virgo Season’s tone and circumstances, guide our actions, and give us a stance, or mythic script, in how we evolve, develop, engage life, and express.

Mercury, the guide of this season, begins in your 9th house (Leo)—where big ideas and personal philosophies have been taking shape. Then on September 2nd, Mercury enters Virgo, sharpening your focus and calling you to articulate your purpose with integrity and precision.

“The Purpose in the Practice”

This Virgo Season, the Sun climbs to the highest point in your chart and pauses there, illuminating the space where your ambitions meet service.
The 10th house isn’t just about status. It’s about contribution—what you build, what you share, and how you offer it with integrity.

Mercury begins the season expanding your mind in Leo’s 9th house, where you've been dreaming boldly and thinking big. But on September 2nd, it crosses into Virgo’s 10th house, and the dreaming must become doing.

This is a time to:

  • Edit your goals so they align with your evolving truth.

  • Speak with intention—especially in professional or public settings.

  • Refine your offerings, your voice, your brand, or your leadership style.

Mercury here is the craftsperson of legacy.
It asks not just what you want to be known for, but:
Are you building something that honors who you really are?

Let this transit help you:

  • Reorganize your priorities.

  • Clarify your role in a larger system or mission.

  • Take real, grounded steps toward long-term success.

Let your ambition be humble. Let your voice be rooted. Let your actions be wise.

Virgo Season asks: What does leadership look like when it’s devoted to service?
Mercury replies: Precise. Honest. Quietly powerful.

Your Ground and Materialization of the Season

Earth in the 4th House | Ethereal Nourishment

In tandem with dimensional growth in our solar season, Earth’s placement, directly opposite the Sun’s reach and exerting energy, shows the dimension of us that has become the fertile ground maturing underfoot. It’s normal to feel like our efforts in a solar season aren’t paying off, but they will, in time, when that sign becomes the Earth’s sign, the ground holding us, embodied and tangible. Look to the Earth sign to tend to what is maturing and growing in your roots and soul, that needs you to be receptive and caring.

With Earth in Pisces this season, something cosmic is maturing. Our ethereal dreams are underfoot, like walking on the ocean or a floor of mist. Dreams are starting to deepen and need our care, our soulful intuition. Compassion needs our depths to align with inspiration and surrender. We process and stabilize the magic of the heart.

You rise early for the climb, mapping the peaks of your purpose in Virgo’s solar season.
But Earth cradles your past, your lineage, your inner sanctuary.
Home is not a structure—it is a soul feeling.
The September 7th Lunar Eclipse may shake the foundation to reveal what truly holds you.
Let the old ghosts go. Let softness be your strength.

Personal & Continuous aims

Your Radiant becoming

Refinement & Harmonizing

Separate from the Sun shining a light on our different dimensions through the signs and houses, we have another solar journey—a spiral journey of Conscious Evolution and Radiant Becoming—the path of illumination. I track this journey from your sign’s new moon to its next new moon, with a formula that’s a bit my own.

Your seeds this year are about returning to your core self with fresh perspective, vision that lights you up, and a reboot in how you push your boundaries.

At the start of Virgo Season, you are in the process of putting your light into the world in service toward the communal good. It’s a time of feeling into what’s useful and not about your light and refining the way you grow to be more prioritized and pure. More rhythmic and organized.

Around September 1st, you start to feel the call back to yourself. What do you take with you? This brings a time to understand life through resonance. Rather than making critical decisions right now aligned with pros and cons, it’s more about what feels right, despite appearances. This starts a process of unraveling and contextualization as life mirrors unconscious patterns that need pruning. It’s all toward a beautiful harmonizing of your path. Lean into the tense discomfort and find peace on the other side.

Your Archetypal Journey

jupiter in The 8th houses | Transformative Purpose

The planet that rules your sign gives you an archetype—a leading character flavor. This planet is a central part of how you show up and your personal agenda. We go on journeys in the skin of our archetypes, like leading characters in books and films. Your ruler, Jupiter, is the Sage, the Mentor, the Pilgrim, and the Seeker.

Jupiter: The Sage/Your Ruler | Stage: Revelation → Teaching | Sign: Cancer | House: 8th | Gemini 7th House-Themed Journey

“Jupiter’s Gospel of the Undone”

You began this journey in the reflecting pool of the 7th house
a mirror held up to your beliefs through love, disagreement, and connection.
There, last December, Jupiter asked you:
What are your truths when someone else is in the room?
Can your philosophies survive intimacy?

Now, that mirror has turned into a doorway.
Jupiter has entered your 8th house in Cancer,
and your lessons are no longer theoretical —
they are felt, feared, surrendered to.

This is the Revelation phase.
But revelation, here, is not an answer — it’s an unmaking.
It is the moment when your deepest truths survive death,
and your truest beliefs are reborn from what you lost.

You are not expanding outward —
you are dissolving inward,
meeting the mystery in someone else’s eyes,
or in the grief you didn’t know you were still carrying.

Jupiter in the 8th house teaches you that transformation
is not a concept, but a threshold.

You cross it by letting go.

By releasing control.
By trusting that what dies in your psyche
makes space for a deeper loyalty to life.

As Virgo Season matures, you enter the Teaching phase.
You emerge from the cocoon, not triumphant,
but softened, sanctified by what you now know in your bones.

This is not knowledge for debate.
This is truth for sharing — through story, silence,
through holding space for others entering their own darkness.

You become a guide not by knowing the way,
but by walking with those who feel lost.

The Teaching phase here is holy —
you become a midwife of emotional rebirth,
a philosopher of vulnerability,
a sacred witness to the truths people hide.

You teach now by living what you’ve survived.
By saying:
“Yes, me too.”

🜁 Mantras for Virgo Season:

Revelation Phase:
“I let go of needing answers. I let truth reveal itself in the ache.”

Teaching Phase:
“I guide not by light alone, but by the depth I’ve dared to feel.”
