A Week of Soulful Perspective
June 9 - 15, 2025
A lot is stirring in the cosmic pot this week. Before we dive into the week’s big transits, let’s visit our quicksilver seasonal ruler, Mercury.
Mercury is full of twists and turns as it moves through the social, idea-brewing realm of Gemini Season. Now freshly in Cancer, Mercury draws our minds inward—toward tenderness, intuition, and emotional resonance. Rather than chasing every idea buzzing around, you may feel more discerning, more attuned to what truly feels aligned with your deeper self. This is a time to notice soul connections, meaningful conversations, and ideas that feel like home.
As we wake on Monday, Mercury in Cancer has just squared Saturn in Aries. To understand the full meaning of this moment, we need to rewind to their last conjunction—the seed they planted together. That meeting happened in late February, in Pisces, behind the North Node. It was a call to dissolve rigid, linear thinking and attune instead to poetic logic and inner timing. A mythic, intuitive restructuring of the mind was conceived.
Now, as Mercury and Saturn square off for the first time since that conjunction, the seed begins to emerge from its incubation. We are entering the testing ground—the New World stage of this synodic journey. What was once an invisible knowing now seeks voice and action. This may feel like the birth of an intuitive voice—one that doesn’t speak to conquer, but to connect. And yet, that voice must hold its own in a world that often favors urgency and force. Trust your non-linear ideas. They are building something real yet ephemeral. Let them take root in your words and actions over the coming days.
Later on Monday, Mercury also squares Neptune. Like the Saturn square, this is the first major tension point since Mercury and Neptune last met—in early March, also in Pisces. But this time, their conjunction occurred across the threshold of the North Node—a point of hunger, destiny, and emergence. Neptune, as a co-ruler of Pisces, was at home in this meeting. The seed they planted was one of consciousness and compassion—of blending mind and mystery, ideas and artistry.
This square is another threshold moment. The dream begins to take form. Compared to the Mercury–Saturn seed, this one may feel more natural, more fluid. It encourages us to take those magical ideas—those whispers of beauty, belonging, and wonder—and move them into form with bold intention. Let your dreams weave into the tangible fabric of your life.
Later in the week, Mercury makes a gentle sextile to Venus. Though far less pivotal than the previous two transits, this moment holds a dreamy, heart-opening potential. Their conjunction earlier this year was soft, elusive, and transcendent. This sextile could bring a wave of sweet inspiration or help you release mental clutter around love, value, and worth. Allow tender thoughts and daydreams to lighten your heart and open new doors of connection.
The Week in Transits
Jupiter moves to Cancer
Monday, June 9th at 4:02 pm MT - June 30th, 2026
With Jupiter’s year-long transits through each zodiac sign, every shift is significant—and this one, in particular, promises beautiful blessings. Since last summer, Jupiter has been in busy, buzzing in Gemini: a sign that thrives in the local sphere, like a merchant in a bustling town marketplace. Jupiter, by contrast, is a wanderer. It seeks broader horizons, new philosophies, foreign lands, and deeper meaning. In Gemini, it can feel restless or stuck—pacing the perimeters of a world that doesn’t quite satisfy its yearning for expansion. Still, this past year may have expanded your worldview close to home—through neighborhoods, friendships, community hubs, or new forms of communication.
Now, with its move into Cancer, a paradox arises. Cancer is the sign of home and roots, and it’s now hosting Jupiter, the eternal traveler. At first glance, it might seem like an awkward fit—wouldn’t the domestic Cancerian energy tether Jupiter to the hearth, stifling its quest? Yet, contrary to appearances, Cancer is the sign of Jupiter’s exaltation. Here, Jupiter finds fertile ground—safe, rich, and emotionally resonant—which gives its expansion depth and soul.
In Cancer, Jupiter doesn’t just wander for wander’s sake; it seeks nourishment, belonging, and emotional truth. This transit expands our inner worlds and shakes us out of emotional ruts. It urges us to grow in ways that feel deeply meaningful and aligned with the soul’s call. Jupiter in Cancer transforms the seeker into one who quests for kinship, healing, and home.
On a broader level, Jupiter also represents the cultural stage—the big, sweeping phenomena that define a collective year. In Gemini, that meant chaos in the information sphere, arguments, rumors, and constant cross-talk. With the North Node in Pisces adding fog and fantasy, we saw cultural messiness play out in full force—think the Kendrick vs. Drake feud, behind-the-scenes drama on Snow White, and the unraveling of the It Ends With Us cast and promotions.
As Jupiter moves into Cancer, cultural moments may shift from bickering to belonging. Watch for themes related to women and femininity, family and ancestry, the home, literature, DNA, and collective memory. With the North Node still in Pisces, artistic, illusory, and healing themes swirl through the cultural tide. We are moving from mere noise into deeper waters.
The Jupiter–Saturn Square: A Major Cultural Shift
Right as Jupiter makes this fortuitous shift into Cancer, it forms a potent aspect—a square—to Saturn, exact on Sunday, June 15. This is a major moment, one many of us have felt building.
To understand it, we must go back to their last conjunction at the end of 2020, in the first degree of Aquarius. That meeting—once every 20 years—marked the start of a new socio-cultural cycle, one that will now unfold exclusively in air signs for the next 200 years. Just as the Industrial Revolution began with Jupiter–Saturn conjunctions in earth signs (centering on material growth, hierarchies, and infrastructure), the next two centuries will seed the age of air—focused on ideas, networks, resonance, and relationships.
That 2020 conjunction in Aquarius was a call to action. It planted a seed of liberation, collective evolution, and visionary rebellion. But the time between a conjunction and the first square is an incubation phase. In that liminal period, the seed stirs but hasn’t yet pierced the surface. Much of what we’ve seen since 2020 has been the old world cracking, trying desperately to hold itself together. Systems cling tighter. Control mechanisms double down. The grip tightens… until it can’t.
This square—Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Aries—is the moment when the seed bursts into the visible world. It’s the “new world” stage of the journey: no longer theory, but embodied. The tension is real. The future presses through the constraints of the past.
With Aquarius as the blueprint, this new era isn’t about nationalism or division, but a global vision of care, mutuality, and innovation. A quote from Andor in the Star Wars universe captures the spirit of this shift toward humanity and freedom:
Manifesto by Nemik
"There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. I know this already. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy.
Remember this: Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously and without instruction. Random acts of insurrection are occurring constantly throughout the galaxy. There are whole armies, battalions that have no idea that they’ve already enlisted in the cause.
Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward. The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear.
Remember that. And know this: the day will come when all these skirmishes and battles, these moments of defiance, will have flooded the banks of the Empire’s authority, and then there will be one too many. One single thing will break the siege.
Remember this: Try."
Especially in the U.S., we may be reaching a line in the sand. Do we take to the streets like LA is doing against ICE? Could this give authoritarian forces the excuse they’re waiting for to enact martial law? Or does the rebellion take another form—cyber-maneuvers, boycotts, collective care?
I’m no strategist, but I can feel the pulse. However it unfolds, we are in a socio-cultural story arc where the rebellion—liberation for a more humane future—does eventually break through. We are emerging from the materialist, hierarchical structures of the Jupiter-Saturn Industrial epoch and into something more decentralized, more interconnected, more alive.
We don’t yet know the cost, only that we are being asked to reorient—away from accumulation and toward mutual thriving. This Jupiter–Saturn square marks our entry into the belly of the whale, the heart of the air epoch’s first mythic journey. It’s time to act differently, to get off the old road, and onto the road of trials, where real transformation happens.
Let’s clean up our act. Out of the debris of consumerism, let’s reorganize for humanity. Saturn in Aries supports new constructs. Jupiter in Cancer gives us a compass: follow what truly nourishes.
Sagittarius Full moon
Wednesday, June 11th, 1:44 am MT
Mid-week, we shift from the outer-world orientation of the season into our inner world and align with our deeper places.
Sagittarius, being the opposite sign to Gemini, holds the ground and Earth of the season. The moon pulls us into the depths of perspective and vision. It can help us intuit how our life beliefs and philosophies stabilize and soothe our weary efforts in this season of connection, weaving ideas, and pollinating expressive variety.
Turn inward and listen to your inner realm of hope and faith. Notice what nourishes your perspectives and soothes your boundary-pushing willingness to expand. Find tenderness in debate and imagination in opening to differnt points of view.
