A Month of Fresh Takes

April 2026
Spring is in Motion | Planets are meeting up and seeding Lots of new directives in Aries’ Passion
I will be out and about on back-to-back projects this coming month with little time for research and writing, hence a full month forecast instead of my typical weekly one. Here's to a bustling April for us all — a season of getting out into life, being active, and sparking new impulses, directions, and initiatives!

Libra Full Moon: April 1st - 8th, 8:11 pm MT
We start the month in Aries Season, but at the full moon phase of things. Where Aries likes to give us an assertive boost, the full moon calls us to ground inward and get anchored for all of the growth arriving. It's a fertile time, but one that asks us to stay productive in mature rather than impulsive ways. Get your footing in the first days of the month so that you are strong enough to hold the growth of Aries' themes: new directions, spring cleaning, passion, and rising vitality. With this full moon in Libra, find depth in relationships and fairness so that your independent spirit has a foundation from which to grow.
Last Quarter Moon Week: April 9th - 16th, 10:51 pm MT
Let things be reflected to you during this time to help you better see your assertive drive, personal agendas, and impulses. We all have blind spots and need help to see things clearly. The mirrors that show up for us this week will help us see more context around our singularity — reframing stories about ourselves with more texture and wisdom.
Aries New Moon: April 17th, 5:00 am MT
The new moon initially brings pressure and responsibility, but it's exactly this that allows us to solidify character and ignite new inner seeds and wishes. What pressures are arriving around being more authentic, assertive, or independent? Step up to them and notice how, in doing so, new goals begin to appear in your mind's eye. After the first day or two of the new moon, things start to soften, and the new moon week helps us to liberate from brittle boxes and dissolve some of the shadows holding us back.
Taurus Season: April 19, at 7:39 pm MT
We move from the first season of the zodiac to the second in the last stretch of April — from an independent spirit and the starting of things, to slowing down to savor what's actually taking shape, bringing sensitivity, beauty, and a cultivating spirit to how you possess life and yourself. Taurus Season Horoscopes will be up on April 19th around 10:30 am MT!
First Quarter Moon Week: April 23 at 8:31 pm MT
Just a few days into Taurus Season, we arrive at the initiating flow of the season. Use the last week of April to begin things that feel beautiful and luscious — a garden, new beauty or hygiene routines, a wardrobe update, sculpting something, learning to make a beautiful charcuterie board. What brings your five earthly senses to life? What gives you pleasure? What does your wild body, made of matter, crave?
Journey With the Moon | Remember Who You Are
While lunar phases help us ride the ebb and flow of the solar season, the Moon — independent of the Sun — holds its own quiet, reflective cycle around somatic knowing. To sink more deeply into memory, feeling, and intuition, follow the current Lunar Journey: The Memoirist's Journey.
We are currently in the 29-day Pisces Lunar Journey (March 18 – April 16, 2026), a cycle about reflecting on the boundary between self and sea — self dissolving to feel itself more clearly, boundaries blurring not to lose identity, but to find meaning in the union of everything. The Aries Lunar Cycle will begin on April 17th with the new moon, a cycle about metabolizing and anchoring memory and feeling of being assertive, passionate, and direct.

April Headline Transits
Because this covers a full month, I'm sticking to conjunctions and oppositions, which, in my opinion, are the most potent headline makers. It's also worth noting that Uranus will be making its anticipated 7-year move to a new sign on April 25th, from Taurus to Gemini. Read more about this in the Quarterly Overview's Headlines of Spring 2026

Mars conjunct Neptune in Aries (2° 39’)
Our Warrior and Dreamer archetypes seed a new agenda around how we take action in making our dreams real. Move your vision boards into active doing. Another way this seed can express is by giving militants a crusading spark — it's already there, and I hate to say this may ramp that energy up further. But one thing I will note is that Aries wants fresh takes, left turns, and freedom. This does lend old scripts and old religions a certain dullness that many warriors may walk away from, seeking something more independently spiritual to fight for.
Sunday, April 19th
Mars conjunct Saturn in Aries (7° 51’)
Our General and Builder archetypes seed a new agenda in Aries. This has entrepreneurship written all over it. Literally, this could spark entirely new ways of how architects begin to build, how corporations structure themselves, and how we find vitality in our long-term goals.
April 17th, 19th, & 20th
Mercury conjunct Neptune, Saturn, and Mars in Aries
Between the 17th and 20th, Mercury will be busy seeding new questions and possibilities with a host of planets.
First, with Neptune — the first time this duo will seed together in this energy in our lifetimes — Mercury is eager to meander and pollinate definitions, ideas, and learning around themes of pioneering art, inspired action, and spiritual boldness. Our minds will begin to see new dimensions of how the self and the otherworldly unite.
On the 19th, a meetup with Saturn is more sobering. Clarity and pressure may arise around how you think about vitality and how you weave physical discipline into your days.
On the 20th, Mercury then links up with Mars in Aries — the planet that rules Aries — giving this pairing additional weight in what they seed together. Mars will want to spark new ways of thinking about action, new ways of creating pathways and possibilities around moving our energy, our militaries, and our pioneering initiatives through the world.
While all of these Aries seeds do amplify some aggressive thinking and likely more warring attitudes, they also amplify how we use our minds to defend, protect, and champion Aries' most essential quality — life.
Friday, April 24th
Venus conjunct Uranus in Aries (29°)
One day before Uranus moves out of its 7-year stint in Taurus, Venus will meet up with this rebel planet and seed one final year-long journey between these planets in this sign. The rebel meets advocacy, technology meets value, and innovation meets nature. The Heroine and the Rebel have one more question to answer together about value, autonomy, and nature before exploring different questions more intellectually centered.
Notice what you want ot go a layer deeper with in how you question the way innovation is affecting worth in the world. What needs another, deeper dive into the balance between technology and naturalness, experimentation and Earth’s resources?
