A Week of mysterious beauty

November 24 - 30, 2025

Lunar-Solar Atmosphere | Uprooting Illusions

Through Thursday afternoon, the lunar mood has us detaching from life, thinking about the future, dreaming, and plugging in more collectively than personally. Our emotional filter is anchoring memory about transformation through release—letting go of fixations that open life to more ease and less control. Rather than micromanage who's bringing what to Thanksgiving or who's going where, just let it come together the way it was always going to come together. If the pie burns or the turkey takes 30 minutes longer than you thought, oh well. Relax and enjoy where you're at.

Later in the week, as we cross into first-quarter moon territory, we may find ourselves in dreamscapes where normal logic doesn't seem to work. Where surrender is the path forward into something undefinable yet magical. I think of Disney's Coco, entering and exploring the realm of the dead, where he discovers and clarifies illusions around the stories he's been told that have kept him from being free to follow his authentic path. He uproots deceptions that empower his dream and the support around it. Look for distortions that need clarifying. Look for memories or lack of support that may have been based on something that isn't quite what it appears to be.

Mercury & Saturn Direct | Pre

Saturn leaves retrograde late Thursday night/early Friday morning. Back in Pisces, at the tail end of the zodiac, to review a few loose ends before fully stepping onto a new trajectory with Aries this winter, Saturn is very close to the Dreamer, Neptune, in the sign of dreams and illusions. Our sense of structure and consensus reality is dissolving beneath us. Not to fear—when things are in chaos, there is a deeper reorganizing taking place. Like the caterpillar in the chrysalis, structure and reality are melting so that it can transcend and become something else. We are on the cusp of that something else, experiencing dreams and new consciousness fading in and out around it all. February brings us a better sense of what reality is rebirthing as, but even more so, by next winter, Saturn will have seeded its yearly synodic journey in Aries, and we will feel much clearer and more assertive around a new consensus reality after 7-8 years of it falling apart.

Mercury leaves retrograde on Saturday afternoon, but don't get excited yet. It takes Mercury a few days to get moving, almost like it is paused in its orbit. Even after it starts moving forward again (from our perspective), it will be in post-shadow (retracing the degrees it had reversed over) until mid-December. I call this Mercury's drunk phase. Even though there is forward movement, it's like hitting the darkest point of night at midnight during retrograde, and post-retrograde is like moving to and through twilight. New hope, sparks, and visions bubble up and down, but grabbing hold of anything is like mist. Enjoy little awakenings and persevere through mental nebulousness. Dream and space out. Wait for a week or so into December to activate your impulsive ideas. With the new Mercury Journey having seeded in Scorpio, intense uprooting and investigations are en route. Especially through December 19th, with our current lunar cycle acting out a Scorpio tone, mystery is in the air and in the mood. Put on your detective glasses and sniff out the hidden threads of mind and mood.

Venus in Sagittarius | November 30 - December 24

Venus is highly active this week, in positive and harmonizing communication with many heavy-hitting planets. This could bring a softening to the air. As she moves into Sagittarius on Sunday afternoon, she steps onto the main stage of the season's theatre, just after she's been harmonizing channels in the background earlier in the week. Like a diplomat weaving strings of accord in backroom chats, and then stepping into view with entangled support from every corner of the stage. While Jupiter is technically the protagonist of the season, Venus is stepping into a pivotal supporting cast role and is adored by Jupiter, who is in a wise and seasoned place themselves (at the tail end of their current yearly journey, having found more depth around philosophies of community and connection). Venus brings beautiful visions and philosophies to the stage. She offers foreign culture and arts.

Journey With the Moon | Remember Who You Are

While moon phases help us tap into the ebb and flow of the solar season, the Moon—outside its ties to the Sun—has its own reflective cycle about recognition. To tap more deeply into memory, feeling, and intuition—how we anchor an embodied knowing of the zodiac into us—head over to the current Lunar Journey (The Memoirist’s Journey):

Scorpio New Moon Journey of Transformation Through Creation

Headline Transits

Venus is highly active this week, tapping into the lovely outer planet harmonies in the skies. Most notable is when she trines Jupiter, as this is the protagonist on center stage in Sagittarius Season. Whatever these two connect about will play out in the main plot lines of the week. Also notable is a trine from Saturn to Jupiter, pretty much all week. Again, with Jupiter involved, this will be seen on the main stage of the week.

Mercury Rx conjunct Venus, November 24th (6:52 pm MT)

This kicks off a new Mercury/Venus agenda rooted in mystery and investigation. Mind and heart connect to uproot blocks to the heart-mind channels. Their goal is to find more vulnerability in expression and more acceptance of help to find blocks to our heartfelt connections. In broader strokes, the seed from this meeting could uproot secrets around contracts and currency—who's hiding what around backroom financial agreements? Secrets will be revealed in the coming months.

Venus trine Jupiter, Rx November 26th (9:32 am MT)

A stellar moment in the week! Jupiter is our focal actor right now, and anytime a planet feels supported by Venus, life feels more lovely, valuable, and charming. From Scorpio, Venus is sending allure, seduction, and opulence to our current soulful crusader. Like the explorer returned home at the end of a quest and met by an intriguing beauty with ties to unfathomable secrets—a key that explains part of their current resolution, but also to a hidden chamber deep in the Amazon. Possibly a hint at a new exploration that they are about to become entangled in (Venus will be deeply linked to Jupiter's next Journey, starting on January 10th).

Venus trine Saturn Rx, November 26th (4:47 am MT)

The Architect dissolving structures/executives in Pisces and the Diplomat holding potent secrets in Scorpio. This almost feels like an agreement that things must unravel in order to heal and be re-empowered. Expect hidden secrets to come out.

Venus opposed Uranus Rx, November 29th (7:45 pm MT)

A touch of excitement meets us this weekend. While these two are opposed, they tend to have fun chemistry together, no matter the agreement or disagreement. Love stretched to resonate with more excitement. Values shaken up to align with what you actually adore. In a broader sense, tension between decentralized currencies and hidden channels of wealth could lead to discord.

Venus trine Neptune Rx, November 30th (1:45 am MT)

The Dreamer in a fantasy and the Lover drawn to intensity. Sunday is a gorgeous time to indulge in beautiful and consuming fantasies. See a gorgeous film with themes of power and vulnerability. Hamnet comes out around this time and has been getting rave reviews. I'm not entirely sure what it's about, but it came to mind for some reason.

Jupiter (season’s ruler) trine Saturn (generally all week)

Ugh. I love this. Our season's ruler is getting so much support at the end of its own year-long epic. We've explored Venus, but Saturn is also sending good tidings. Deep philosophies of connective care meet the CEO of focused shadow work. It's a surprisingly emotional link between two not-so-emotional archetypes. It feels like the elder saying, "Good job" to the explorer. The Architect saying, "The shadow structure I'm working on could offer focused healing so you can return home with more grace and openness."
