We begin the week under the dark balsamic moon, closing her eyes just as we finish out our softening season of Cancer. Mondy brings a perfect concoction for looking back on the whole arc of the season to see the themes that played out for you and what depths, nurturance, and moods you attended to.
Leo Season blazes in on Tuesday, eager to pull us into a little more flashy fun and excitement. Emotional drama and performance, but also warmth and heart, lead the way. Leo is the fixed, or middle, third of our summer seasons, bringing in a more stable, but also stubborn, energy. We continue with a balsamic moon as we shift into Leo Season, allowing us to find grand vision for our month ahead. What big things does your heart want to conquer? Set your sights in the early days of the season.
New Moons often bring the pressure point of a season. Early in the season, our Leo New Moon, on Thursday the 24th, highlights responsibilities around creativity, leadership, love, and play. Tending to these can grow your character and integrity and inform your new Leo intentions. The pressure begins to ease by Saturday afternoon (MT), and especially on Sunday, as the moon shifts into a waxing crescent phase. Here, we can find more freedom in how we listen to our longings and act on them.
Seasonal Insight:
We’re in the final 16 days of the solar quarter with the longest days of the year. In Qi Gong, this transition is where the Earth element rises to gather and process the Fire and heat of the season. Earth energy may make us feel like we’re juggling many things at once. When healthy, it brings rhythm, nourishment, and an inner glow. When imbalanced, it can stir up worry, overwhelm, and obsessive thinking. This week is a good time to find your rhythm, process what’s been ignited, and prepare for the coming Metal season—a time of cooling refinement.

This tense, karmic square between Venus (our inner values and voice) and Mars (our drive and individuation) lands right on the south node (Mars) and the north bend of the nodal arc (Venus)—heightening its significance.
This could stir sensitive themes between masculine and feminine dynamics, or dominant versus relational energy. You might feel the need to contextualize: What grounding does your self-worth need? What fairness does your assertive side require?
Mars in Virgo can over-analyze or criticize, while Venus in Gemini may spiral in mental loops over fairness or value. There’s a karmic tone here—where have impulsive actions trampled over others? Where has your worth been inflated or silenced? It’s not gender-specific. Masculine and feminine energies run through all of us, and this square asks for balance between your inner yin and yang.
This current Venus–Mars synod began in Aquarius. At its heart lies a desire for fresh connection, social innovation, and authentic individuality. The friction now points to where we need to evolve in relationships, values, and action.
Sun in Leo sextile Uranus in Gemini

Though not a major headline transit, this one deserves attention. Uranus is newly in Gemini, and any contact with it now transmits the early sparks of a long new frequency. The Sun, seasonal ruler and spotlight of the zodiacal stage, lends this aspect extra weight.
With Uranus in Gemini, the collective mind is being recharged. This sextile brings flashes of creative genius, unexpected shifts in perspective, and new ways of expressing individuality. Let light-hearted drama open the door to big-picture thinking. Beneath it all, subtle evolutionary refinement is unfolding—in how groups splinter, how thought patterns diverge, and how we begin to reinvent the narrative of belonging.
