While most astrologers don’t read Earth as a planet to be given a sign or interpreted, Human Design, a sister system to astrology, does include the Earth sign. It was a revelation for me. In adopting this into my regular astrology practice, it has opened up a whole new world of how harmonious, balancing (and counterbalancing) astrology can, and should, be. It’s like opening up a window in this system that allows the feminine to breathe, feel, and be heard more deeply. No matter your gender, we all have a Sun and Earth sign. I see it as the Sun showing our awareness and the Earth showing our gnosis, or a more somatic development of knowing.

By adding the Earth as a planet anchored to your astrological archetypes, learn to embody yourself more, rather than overemphasizing watching yourself. Gain more selective discernment, stillness, and trust in what you know from the inside out. Become more stable in how you contain life rather than life constantly extracting from you.

I hope by taking our Earth sign into account, we can all start to recognize, value, and love our yin/gnosis/body side more deeply.
